*What you'll be doing*
As a *remote interpreter*, you will deliver vital language interpretation services to a range of organisations, particularly within the *Health and Social Care* sectors.
Your assignments may include supporting individuals accessing services through the *NHS, local councils, charities, and private businesses*.
You will play a key role in breaking down communication barriers, ensuring that every person has access to the services and support they need.
*Languages in Demand*
Bengali, Bosnian, Burmese, Czech, Faroese, Fijian, Georgian, Greek, Gujarati, Indonesian, Japanese, Kurdish, Kurdish - Bahdini, Kurdish - Sorani, Lithuanian, Luganda, Mandarin, Mandinka, Nepalese, Oromo, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Somali, Soninke, Tagalog, Telugu, Thai, Ukrainian, Uzbek, Vietnamese
Additionally, we welcome *British Sign Language (BSL)* interpreters – both *Registered Sign Language Interpreters (RSLI)* and *Trainee Sign Language Interpreters (TSLI)* are encouraged to apply.
*What we're looking for*
*Essential Skills and Attributes:*
* *Excellent communication skills* in both English and additional language
* *Strong organisational abilities* with the capacity to manage multiple assignments
* *Professionalism and enthusiasm*, with a respectful and empathetic approach
* *Confidence interpreting* across various environments (medical, social care, and community-based settings)
* *Enhanced DBS Certificate* (Child and Adult Workforce, with both Barred Lists) If you do not already hold one, we can assist you in completing your DBS application
* *Eligibility for self-employment in the UK*
Please note*: This is a *self-employed position*, and you’ll be responsible for your own tax registration with HMRC.*
