We are looking for a highly motivated, hospitality-driven Mandarin-speaking Assistant Manager I Queens, to join our team. Fluency in Mandarin (spoken) is required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Facility & Gym Operations
+ Oversee daily gym and facility operations, ensuring compliance with all policies, safety regulations, and Department of Health (DOH) standards.
+ Enforce operational policies, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe environment for gym members and their guests.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness center, including equipment, floors, and supplies (wipes, towels, sanitizer).
+ Perform hands-on cleaning tasks, including wiping down machines, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the fitness center.
+ Oversee cleanliness, organization, and inventory of the children's playroom, recreational items, and lounge areas.
+ Inspect facilities regularly, report maintenance issues, and coordinate timely repairs of equipment and amenities.
+ Monitor and maintain spa, sauna, and steam room operations, including proper chemical levels and compliance with Department of Health (DOH) standards.
+ Manage facility maintenance, repairs, and vendor coordination.
+ Regularly assess and improve services and operating procedures.
Customer Service & Member Experience
+ Deliver exceptional, high-end customer service and provide a welcoming, professional experience for members, guests, and visitors.
+ Address member concerns promptly, maintain strong relationships, and resolve issues effectively.
+ Conduct member engagement initiatives to drive high satisfaction and retention.
Staff Management & Development
+ Hire, train, supervise, and lead a professional, efficient team.
+ Schedule and coordinate daily staffing for porters and gym attendants.
+ Provide training sessions to ensure staff are well-versed in all necessary Department of Health (DOH) regulations and gym procedures.
+ Collaborate with leadership to develop and motivate the team toward excellence in service and operations.
Programming & Events
+ Collaborate with managers and the team to create, develop, and implement fitness programs, pop-up classes, activities, and events that align with Elite's standards and community preferences.
+ Manage and oversee private reservations for the resident lounge.
Administrative Support
+ Act as a key liaison between area supervisors, board members, and building management to ensure smooth communication and effective execution of services.
+ Perform administrative duties, maintain accurate records, and prepare necessary reports for leadership.
+ Perform any other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
+ Fluency in Mandarin (spoken) is required.
+ 1+ years' experience working in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a customer service setting.
+ Proven ability in leading and motivating a team, ensuring excellence in service and operations.
+ Excellent understanding of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
+ Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and to handle situations proactively with a focus on delivering high-end service and customer satisfaction.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
+ Willingness to learn and adapt to new gym equipment and technologies.
