About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Specialist to join our U.S. team. In this role, you will initially support the Purchasing Manager with day-to-day procurement activities. As you gain familiarity with our processes and products, you will progressively take ownership of purchasing responsibilities for specific product categories. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong professional capabilities, effective communication skills, and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset to support the efficiency of our procurement and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Purchasing Manager in daily procurement activities, including supplier inquiries, quotation analysis, purchase order follow-up, and delivery tracking to ensure timely and high-quality fulfillment.
- Maintain and organize procurement documentation and supplier records; assist in managing supplier relationships to support future category ownership.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Warehouse) to understand procurement needs, provide updates, and resolve routine coordination issues.
- Learn and apply company procurement processes, product knowledge, and supplier management standards; gradually assume responsibility for assigned product categories.
- Assist in supplier sourcing, selection, and evaluation; contribute to cost optimization and process improvement initiatives.
- Travel as required for supplier visits, on-site coordination, and other procurement-related activities.
- Perform additional procurement-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain roles preferred.
- Outstanding recent graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin), with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage bilingual communications and documentation effectively.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and with external partners.
- Fast learner with the ability to quickly understand procurement processes and product knowledge.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly accountable, with strong execution skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship provided).
- Availability to start as soon as possible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the U.S. procurement market and supplier networks.
- Experience in category management is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
