RECEPTIONIST, MEDICAL Job Summary: Greets patients, check-in/check-out process, performs registration and scheduling process following system guidelines, scanning all forms, ID, and insurance card in appropriate files in the electronic health record, (EHR) and collects applicable co-pay or co-insurance. Processes self-pay patients following the protocol. May be involved in processing patients for Telehealth visits for appointments outside of the office. Receives incoming telephone calls, redirecting or messaging within the EHR as appropriate. Verifies insurance eligibility, using automated systems for all payers.
