The University of Virginia’s Department of East Asian Languages, Literatures and Cultures (EALC), which offers instruction in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages and cultures, invites applications for a **Lecturer in Chinese** with an anticipated start date of August 10, 2027. We are interested in candidates with expertise in teaching Chinese language at all levels of instruction. The core responsibilities of this position include teaching six courses per year, three each during the fall and spring semesters. Additional responsibilities include contributing to the development of the Chinese language program and participating actively in departmental service.
